our Program

Queen Bee Kennel, formerly Savannah’s Classic Mimosa, is a family-run kennel specializing in Cane Corsos and Newfoundlands. Like many breeders, we have our own specialty, style, and emphases. The Torres family is dedicated to raising well-balanced puppies that adapt easily to homes. We conduct PennHIP hip screening, OFA elbow testing, and Embark genetic testing. Our primary goal is to enhance the longevity, health, and temperament of our dogs while breeding to the standard.

Our dogs and puppies are raised in a home with other animals and children. We socialize the puppies as much as we can, while being mindful of exposure limits. When pairing dogs, we consider many traits, with temperament and test results as our main priorities. We do not breed dogs with aggressive behavior, no matter their structure, size, or build. Temperament comes first.

We carefully select pairings to help reduce health issues throughout a dog's life. We pair dogs to produce non-dilute coats, which may help with allergies, and choose those with good hip and elbow scores to minimize the risk of dysplasia. Although we cannot prevent every issue, we do our best on our end.
